Our Work

Nick Manassa Ministries, Inc (NMM), is a faith based not-for-profit 501(c)(3), formed with the goal of taking those experiencing homelessness from homeless to home ownership, while connecting them to supportive services along the journey to renewed life.

Freedom Center

A five phase program that receives participants from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office Recovery Pod Addiction Program upon release from jail.  Our program addresses addiction, life skills, financial responsibility, family reunification, job training, and employment.

Family Harbor

Family Harbor is a temporary emergency shelter that provides temporary housing for families experiencing homelessness with school age children.  Family Harbor will help families transition back into permanent housing, while providing a safe environment for families and a warm bed for children to sleep in.

Hope Center 

The Hope Center is a temporary emergency shelter that provides short term housing for chronically homeless brought in by law enforcement. This program provides beds, showers, pet care, and storage while participants work with case managers to receive health care, financial aid, and housing.

Lighthouse Community & Micro Enterprise Zone

A master planned community on a tiny scale. This community will be made up of support services, a micro enterprise zone, economical tiny homes, community outdoor kitchen, and shower/restroom facilities.
